art class

a list of most of my fears:
teaching, public speaking, being in charge, kids, art.

I decided to combine all these by teaching a one hour paper mache class for 10-year-olds at the boys and girls club of Bloomington.

it was actually fun!

(most of) the kids were really really excited and kept exclaiming, "this is awesome!" one kid told me "this sucks" and didn't want to make a mask, but it turned out she was just frustrated and with a little help got into the project. it was amazing the different levels of concentration- one boy didn't want to leave for snack time and kept adding more and more to his mask.

I learned so much! 10 years olds are a lot smaller then i expected and think every thing you say is genius.
