Little Tibet,Bloomington
There is sorta a big Tibetan community in Bloomington on account of the Dali llama's nephew lives (lived?) here and the Dali llama has come here and blessed some buildings. Here is one of the temples in bike ride-able distance. One walks around it in circles sometimes for hours as a form of meditation/prayer. I tried it- its nice.

back to indiana
oh no, now I'm back from California. Hate it when you're all excited for something and you can't wait and then all-of-a-sudden you're on the airport shuttle headed home again. Had lots of fun though. Bridal shower and going out and seeing my best freind, and meeting all her friends too.
Frenemy watching Sarah make delicious cranberry-lemon scones
a personalized tour of Hello Lucky
Being gross eating Nicks Crispy Taco while waiting for the BART.
BART sounds like BARF. all caps because it's a real surprise BARF

arts and sports
hate child art, or maybe more specifically drawings that are done by adults made to look like a kid did it, with the "E's" all backwards and seven fingered hands. But I like these thingies down on Monroe street. Child Art plus Public Sculpture. Coulda been REAL bad. But I think it worked out.
hahaha whats this? it makes me laugh.
..xxxcited to go to california in 2 days!

democracy in action
I think I've mentioned before that I now live practically across the street from the public library and the library is great! I have always been a fan of libraries, but have never lived so close to one so accesible, so much on my way to the coffee shop. They also have a self checkout! I love to read but have never been a fan of KEEPING the books I read. Having the Library so close is like having a shed in the backyard where I keep all my books at, with a full time staff that I hired to keep them organized.
Libraries seem to be one of America's most democratic and well run public services. Books and computers and AC and bathrooms and water for everyone! well, everyone with an address... but even the homeless are allowed to loiter outside and use the computers and read books, as long as they don't act TOO homeless. Of course there are other flaws- on my various trips across America, by bike or otherwise, there is definetly a disparity in the funding for libraries in small towns and cities. But still, in even the crappiest of towns we could always find a library and the library was always a very nice place to rest. And libraries are always holding meetings and having seminars and handing out flyers to come to a meeting and learn how to improve your resume and get a job.
There's just one thing that bothers me and I thought of it today. There are a lot of gross people at the library, and some of them are really gross, and I'm sure SOME of those really gross people bring library books into the bathroom.

building on my strengths
I would describe myself as charmingly awkward. Will my life improve tomorrow if I accentuate that fact with these new glasses? Do I want people to know I'm a nerd right off the bat?
everyone keep in mind that
1. I don't have a job, and maybe I should be saving money???
2. This is my boyfriend
note the glasses similarity, but please read #3
3. Adams usually wears contacts.
4. actually maybe its 60/40. contacts/glasses
This photo is from tonite because tuesdays have turned into date night i geuss. Today we went to a Turkish Restaurant that was surprisingly fancier then the outside would lead you to believe. We were worried that it would be too expensive, but then remembered nothing is too expensive in Bloomington. Entrees were $14 and come with bread, appetizer, soup or salad, the entree, and a cookie! Adams payed the check and said what we always say here, which is:" why, in NY that would've cost twice as much!" of course we could have also gone out to dinner after 8 without worrying that the restaurant was about to close.
but what about those glasses?
